United Natural Foods - Schnecksville

This design-build project consists of a two-building tenant fit-out of 1.5 million square feet. The spaces are mixed-use storage and distribution facility and include a standalone truck maintenance facility. Half of the building is cold storage and the other half consists of ambient storage, 45,000 square feet of high-end office space, MDF Rooms, a 60,000-square-feet 65F grain storage room, and 10,000 square feet of maintenance and storage. Existing units served the ambient space and NDBS provided exhaust fans and louvers to provide ventilation above the cold storage spaces. (3) Packaged rooftop units serve the grain room. The office areas were mixed between VAV systems with direct digital controls from our in-house control team and constant volume systems with standalone controls in the smaller areas. In the truck maintenance facility, NDBS provided the compressed air system, vehicle exhaust system, HVAC for the office, infrared heat and ventilation for the garage bays. The MDF rooms were served by n+1 split systems.
