National Design Build Services was selected over multiple local design-build contractors in the greater Pittsburgh area for our expertise in designing highly efficient LEED buildings. Constructed over a three-year period, this campus of three buildings was developed for the premier real estate firm of Burns & Scalo. Known for their class-A office space, Burns & Scalo rapidly filled these buildings with premier tenants. These LEED Certified buildings include looped air distribution systems on each floor, cross-connecting the packaged rooftop VAV systems to ensure continuous operation during service and repairs. Each building is monitored and controlled by a Building Automation System with remote access provided to building operators via a VPN network. Each building and system was designed to be a stand-alone entity to ensure continuous operation should any single component fail. BAS systems monitor and alarm critical systems and components should operation fall out of design specifications.
