Golden State Food Processing

Opelika, AL

Golden State Foods is one of the largest diversified suppliers to the quick service restaurant and retail industries. GSF is an innovator and continues to expand products, services, and expertise globally. NDBS engineered HVAC systems on a new construction food processing and packaging facility for Golden State Foods in Opelika Alabama. The 245,000-square-foot project included an ammonia machine room, 13,000 square feet of office space with commercial kitchen, 3,000-square-foot lab kitchen and sanitation room with moisture control. The entire project was coordinated using BIM. NDBS installed the HVAC systems that consisted of package-rooftop units, large exhaust systems to serve the ammonia machine room, and large compressor plant. We also performed the gas piping for the entire facility. We installed an energy efficient HVAC system in order to achieve the stringent standards required to receive LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
