This GAP distribution center in Fishkill, New York serves the entire Northeastern portion of the United States. The distribution center experienced a catastrophic fire event in August 2016, which claimed roughly 300,000 square feet of warehouse and sorting, along with water and smoke damage throughout. NDBS served as an owner representative and was an integral part of damage assessment and repair/replacement estimating and insurance negotiations.
As a prime design/build subcontractor, NDBS’s scope included HVAC system testing/repairs, new HVAC, replacement HVAC, DDC building automation system, plumbing testing/repairs, new plumbing, compressed air piping, and a cold smoke purge system.
A total of 65 packaged rooftop units were installed during project phases which included the coordination of 3 helicopter lifting operations.
NDBS worked with the GAP to engineer and install highly efficient systems which qualified for energy incentives from the New York State Energy Research & Development (NYSERDA).
