Bel Air Surgical Center

This project is a design/build outpatient surgical facility consisting of a general office area, pre-op and recovery area, and one (1) operating room. This facility must maintain specific pressure relationships between its various use areas while controlling temperature and humidity in order to provide a sterile environment.

This building is heated and cooled using a DX roof-mounted air handler equipped with 30% pre-filters and 95% final filters and incorporates constant volume re-heat boxes serving individual zones. The building is controlled by a complete building automation system. The facility utilizes medical gas systems consisting of nitrous oxide, oxygen and vacuum systems.
