Glen Burnie Surgical Center

This project is an outpatient surgical facility consisting of a general office area, pre-op and recovery areas and one (1) operating room. This facility was designed to maintain specific pressure relationships between its various use areas while controlling temperature and humidity, in order to provide a sterile environment. This center is heated and cooled using a DX roof-mounted air handling unit with 30% pre-filters and 95% final filters and incorporates constant volume electric re-heat serving individual zones. The mechanical systems are controlled by a complete building automation system. The facility utilizes medical gas systems consisting of nitrous oxide, oxygen and vacuum systems. We have completed over 80 similar projects throughout the country and travel with SurgCenter Development, LLC as one of their preferred contractors.
