Value Drug

The Value Drug Distribution facility consists of 25,000 square feet of office space adjacent to 175,000 square feet of climate-controlled warehouse area. The two-story office building is conditioned using two VAV rooftop units. Zone control is provided via parallel fan terminal units for perimeter spaces and VAV reheat boxes for interior areas. Warehouse conditioning is accomplished with packaged rooftop units providing a total of 150 tons of cooling capacity. The warehouse was designed to maintain between 68°F and 77°F year-round. Temperature and humidity sensors were placed high and low on columns throughout the facility in order to ensure compliance with CFR 21. Temperature stratification is minimized through the use of 24’ diameter HVLS fans spotted in highly active areas around the space. Split evaporators and condensers serve a refrigerator space that maintains product at 40°F. The facility also includes battery charging areas and a compressed air network that powers the large conveyor system. A fully integrated building management system controls and monitors the mechanical systems and provides daily reports for the owner’s records.
