Greencore

Des Moines, WA

The project is a tenant fit out for Greencore, producer of convenience food and world’s largest sandwich manufacturer. The office, lunch/breakroom, and the sales kitchen occupy approximately 19,000 square feet of the buildout. The space is conditioned by multiple Carrier constant volume package rooftop units with natural gas heat and DX cooling. Zone-VVT control damper systems were also used to provide additional customized zoning. On the process side of the facility, NDBS designed the high care assembly rooms to maintain 38°F. We utilized two Munters desiccant dehumidification split systems that were owner furnished to serve these rooms. The distribution system utilized KoolDuct in the interstitial space to prevent condensation and Ductsox (MicrobeX) within the process room. The other areas in the production process consisted of cooler and freezer storage, bread room, prep rooms, work-in-progress, decanting, and finished goods. These areas were served by Century DX split systems. Low risk and high care wash rooms, used for equipment and tray washing, were designed for 10 air changes per hour and served by 100% make-up air units and exhaust fans. The facility also included low risk and high care cook rooms. These areas included kitchen exhaust systems with make-up air and space conditioning.
