Clorox Distribution

Aberdeen, MD

This project is a newly constructed 950,000-square-foot distribution facility, including 10,000-square-foot office build-out for Clorox located in Aberdeen, Maryland. The design for the warehouse is a 60-degree indoor temperature (winter) and the summer ventilation rate at 2 air changes per hour. In conjunction with the summer ventilation, the facility also features HVLS fans installed in the cross dock tagging areas to supplement the 2 air changes. The heating was done with six (6) direct-fired make-up air units with factory installed non-fused disconnects, motor starters, filter sections, inlet temperature sensors, freeze protection and industrial control panels with night setback. The summer ventilation system features eighteen (18) up-blast fans with butterfly dampers, magnetic latches, and motors out of the air stream for serviceability. The fans are interlocked with thirty-six (36) combination louver/dampers factory painted with kynar finish. The facility also has a compressed air system with drops between the overhead doors. The design features four (4) constant volume package rooftop units with natural gas heat and DX cooling totaling twenty-five (25) tons of cooling. The units have factory installed non-fused disconnects, economizers and programmable thermostats. The I.T. room is served by a 3-ton ductless split system which features an inverter compressor.
