Inland Port VI

Edgerton, KS

This new construction warehouse in Logistics Park Kansas City covers a 1,700-acre area of land in a distribution and warehouse development in Edgerton, Kansas. NDBS engineered the HVAC and associated natural gas piping systems that provide heating and ventilation of the 777,200-square-foot warehouse. The project included a fire pump room and provisions for approximately 50,000 square feet of future tenant improvement office space. The installed HVAC system consists of recirculating make-up air units that meet the space heating requirements with gravity relief hoods to prevent over-pressurization. Recirculating make-up air units maximize the ability to discharge high temperature air using lower outdoor air volumes, providing an increased BTU-per-CFM ratio. NDBS also designed and installed the natural gas piping network to serve the installed HVAC system while allowing additional design capacity for future tenant improvement HVAC systems. This energy efficient HVAC system exceeds energy code requirements and met all client-required specifications.
